HER story
April 24th | Taurus | 20
Born Jamie Roe, she was brought up in a low-income family with a father that played messenger to the Marzetti’s and a snitch to other mob families. Even though her father was paid with a nice amount, he was also the type that fell into greed and took his chances at gambling hoping that he would make it big. It was a fantasy really.
Jamie though was your basic little girl that was full of imagination and creativity, but she was also full of understanding. She grew up knowing that she would never have certain things that other kids did, but she never argued or complained. She accepted and was grateful for what she had, and that was a loving family. Her life was her fairy tale with a happy ending. It wasn’t perfect in the rich sense, but it was enough for her.
It wasn’t until her fifth birthday when she came home from school that Jamie would find her house littered with police and paramedics – her parents had been killed. Shocked into denial, Jamie was soon enough placed in an orphanage where she pretended that her parents were still alive, making herself believe that they were just on some sort of business trip where they couldn’t take her. As time passed, her denial became reality, and the tears that she never cried finally busted through. As weeks rolled into months, a man by the name of Javier Mendez entered her life claiming to be her mother’s brother – an uncle she never knew of and had requested that she return to family.
What Jamie didn’t know was that this was the man that had been responsible for her parent’s death, and that had some sort of fixation on her.
Twenty years later and now named Jamie Mendez, alongside her adoptive father, Jamie serves the Marzetti family on a needed basis. She came to love the family like it was her own, even to the point where she developed a love for their eldest son, Luciano Marzetti – going out of her way to get him what he needed, despite the fact that everything came to him on a silver platter.
